Create Request status

Overview

Create Requests can have one of the following statuses applied:

  • Draft
  • Negotiation (internal)
  • Negotiation (with 3rd party)
  • Ready for signature
  • Completed
  • Abandoned

 

Default status

When a new Create Request is submitted it will have either the Draft or Completed status applied by default depending on the template settings.

Draft status as the default:

  • If a Create template has any required tasks configured, then requests submitted using that template will have the Draft status applied by default.
  • Create requests are held in Draft status until all required tasks are completed and the status cannot be manually changed (except to abandon the request).
  • Once all required tasks are completed the status will automatically change from Draft to Completed.
  • When a Create request status is marked as Completed the generated contract will be sent to the user who submitted the request and Collaborator users with access to the request will be granted access to download from Summize.
  • From this point onwards the request status can then be manually changed between the all available statuses except for Draft and required tasks cannot be created.

Completed status as the default:

  • If a Create template has no required tasks configured, then requests submitted using that template will have the Completed status applied by default.
  • When a Create request status is set to Completed the generated contract will be sent to the user who submitted the request and Collaborator users will be granted access to download from Summize.
  • From this point onwards the request status can then be manually changed between the all available statuses except for Draft and required tasks cannot be created.

 

Change the status of a Create request

Note: You cannot manually change the status of a Create request when it is in Draft. You must first complete all required tasks to unlock the status from Draft to Completed. Please read the above section for more information.

To manually change the status of a Create request, follow these simple steps:

  1. From the Create request, click the status indicator located in the page header (top-right).
  2. A menu with the available status options will appear.
  3. Select the status you wish to change to from the menu.
  4. The new status will be applied.
